I feel that I am a more of a late technology adapter, which is defined as an individual who is not comfortable with technology while early adapters are comfortable with technology; a late adapter is more comfortable waiting until a technology is a standard and has a great following.  These characteristics do relate to me the best because I tend to be late for the show when it comes to new advances in technology like smart phones, tablets, game counsels, etc., but it is for a good reason.  I am more of a strategist, meaning that I like to read about reviews about a product that I would want.  For instance I love playing video games so when the next gen. counsels came out around last November it was hard to decide which one to get.  Should I get a PS4 of an Xbox One? Are they even worth the money?  What if they are defective?  All of these questions raced through my mind and due to those thoughts I decided not buy any next gen counsel until I knew they were in good standing with the audience.  Eventually I decided to go with the PS4 because at the time it had a better following compared to the Xbox One since the PS4 system allows you to do numerous things on it like play blu-ray movies on it and it connected with the wireless internet. At the same time the PS4 had "PlayStation Now" which allows the user to stream last gen. games on the PS4, from my understanding the Xbox one was incapable of doing that.  Even though that I was committed to buying a PS4 I was not entirely sold on it yet.  New game systems tend to have bug problems when they first come out and the PS4 had some big bugs like over heating problems and power failures.  So I decided to wait it out until the summer came around since many big issues in new game consuls are fixed by that time.  Thankfully those bug problems were fixed.  So after I learned that there no more bug problems I per-ordered my PS4 and the fact that mine was more attractive color--white--was an added bonus.  In general it is always good to have a game plan when it comes to technology, there is no need to buy technology when it comes out right away.  Is it not a better idea to wisely save your money until the product has a great following with users?  I think it is.

  1. Nice post! I am more of a strategist as well. Maybe one day when we make some more money we will be innovators! But you communicate your points clearly!
